Project Details

Thales’ overriding media objective was to support its business objectives, by increasing their Country Directors exposure in the regional media and providing local exposure for Thales and its activities. This meant targeting all necessary channels to drive visibility and explain its strategy to local stakeholders and influencers (i.e. trade media, business/investment publications, national media, social media, etc.).
Limelight continues to build the Thales brand through a programme which we call ‘Exchange and Effect’. An exchange and effect strategy works in two ways; detecting issues that encourages best practice, and identifying issues upon which Thales can influence change with its technology Our multi-channel thought leadership programme included building the executives media presence and developing content relevant to their business area to grow their ‘personal brand’ and which they can use in the sales process. This was supported by a detailed programme of work including business profiles, features and blog development built around raising the profile of the agency's MD.
An average quarter averages around 80 pieces of coverage with a near 50/50 split between coverage in Arabic and English that helps raise the brand awareness for Thales. And our work has included supporting projects and announcements in Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the UAE. But most importantly is the content we have created, which is firmly centred on the business development. The final output has meant that Thales is actively regarded as a proactive partner in the GCC’s ambition to create a unified rail network, in the UAE’s development of its aerospace industry and as a supporting partner that can help realise the vision for Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and Jeddah to develop as smart cities.
